Matthew S. Block
MD, PhD, Member of the Scientific Advisory Board
Dr. Matthew Block is a medical oncologist and immunologist with a vast understanding on pre-clinical and clinical research of cancer immunotherapy. After finishing his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, he pursued a scientific and medical career and obtained his PhD in Immunology and MD degree at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, USA. As a member of the Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Matthew Block conducted multiple clinical trials within the cancer immunotherapy field, including cancer vaccines, cell-based therapies and oncolytic virotherapies. He has also contributed to multiple scientific publications and earned several awards, including the Stand up to Cancer (SU2C) Catalyst Award and the Outrun the Sun, Inc. Research Scholar Award. In addition, being part of TILT’s SAB, Dr. Block serves as the Principal Investigator of one of TILT’s trials at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Matthew Block will advise TILT on its preclinical and clinical research activities and participate in the clinical development of TILT-123.
